My children and grandchildren are absorbing what I am learning. Great Teacher. I would recommend this workshop to all and I would take it again it was THAT GOOD!! “ And Margo Rouble from Yellowknife who sais “he brings people out of their shell, humorous, lively. One of the best facilitators I have encountered. It has been a pleasure. They and many others i have worked with are on the move towards this change”

The reason I am so passionate about the right team building and coaching (from the heart) for communities and organizations is because the process has great trans-formative qualities allowing the individuals in the organization to move towards the working together. When your organizations makes this transformation the energy of it will move throughout your community.

To go from the “I” ego (fear of each other, coercion, jealousy, lack of trust) to the “We” (teamwork, agreement, collaboration, cooperation, partnership and joint effort) is what it is all about. In my view the entire world needs to move in to this direction. The evidence is overwhelming. We already see what happens when you do not make this commitment, families suffer, youth feel hopeless, entire communities are fear based with everyone just looking out for themselves. We also see what happens when we do make the commitment, there is hope for a better tomorrow.

Starting your own business just simply means creating your own job. In most Aboriginal communities there are very few jobs and entrepreneurship is a great opportunity. From retail to tourism and through the power of the internet there are endless possibilities. This workshop allows participants to think creatively and realize that even if they live in an isolated community they can create their own job and even hire others.

The trainers working with Aboriginal Entrepreneur are business people and have assisted hundreds of young people to start their own business. In the James Bay district of Quebec alone they have assisted to start many businesses the majority of which are still in business today.

that although this was of great value to the participants and allowed them to make significant changes, when they got back to their communities it was very challenging for them to get the leadership to embrace what they had learnt. We quickly understood that the resistance was very strong as there was little Awareness and understanding of Economic Development.. So I decided in June 2010 to offer an Awareness workshop delivered directly to the communities.

What these community workshops will do is to strength the existing economic development initiatives, make the community more entrepreneurially friendly and encourage the members to fully embrace entrepreneurship and start businesses.

I have found in my experience having worked with hundreds of communities that up to 20% of the people have been dreaming about starting a business. They just do not know the steps to make it happen.

The basic strategy is to work with the leadership on the most effective way to create an entrepreneurial fever in the community. Then to meet all the interested members to let them know and encourage them them to start a business and make money. And to immediately start a Virtual Business Incubator in the community.

My belief is very simple “There is no time to waste” It is amazing what hands on, grass roots economic development can achieve. Let us know what you think.

Below is a video introduction to this community workshop. For all the details of this Awareness Workshop click here.
